Since 2016 we have supported and completed many projects in Germany and abroad: for cities and municipalities, municipal utilities, car park operators and companies. From a single parking space concept to the parking guidance system for an entire city centre. Here is a selection.
MWG contributed to the mobility concept for parking. A viability calculation was prepared for the neighbourhood car parks and the construction costs were determined. The city of Augsburg received advice on parking.
A parking access system without barriers was developed and implemented. For this, MWG carried out a tender for a camera-based access system that records vehicle number plates and manages the parking areas without physical barriers.
For visitors to the Blombergbahn, MWG planned and tendered a new parking management system. Accessible detection with number plate recognition is planned. The project is still in progress and not yet complete.
MWG supported the municipal utility in coordinating between the hotel operator, the utility and the congress centre. Proposed solutions were developed in several workshops in order to improve traffic flow during events.
Together with the city, MWG carried out a tender for the introduction of pay-by-phone parking across the whole city, in order to find a suitable provider. Parking charges are to be payable by mobile phone.
Eight parking facilities were equipped with modern pay-and-display machines, and MWG provided support. The machines issue digital parking tickets only, created by entering the vehicle number plate. Payment is cashless throughout.
MWG prepared the planning for a parking guidance system in Bentheim. Alongside the installation of the parking guidance system, it also covers the management of the car parks by pay-and-display machines.
MWG supported the planning and delivery of various parking projects. Operating concepts and operator models were developed that are tailored to the requirements of the client.
MWG took on the planning and the tender for the extension of the parking guidance system. The system directs tourist traffic during the summer months and provides information on the available parking. A digital interface to navigation devices, apps and other media was also developed. The pay-and-display machines were tendered and awarded as well.
MWG developed and tendered a parking guidance system for managing tourist traffic. The tender covered all parking facilities and focused on accessible, camera-based parking access control. MWG supported the grant applications, and the project received substantial financial funding.

For Technische Universität Braunschweig, MWG developed a parking management concept intended to make more efficient use of the existing parking resources. A specification and a bill of quantities were prepared for this.
MWG advised the city on parking management and on the parking guidance system. This included a detailed survey of all parking facilities. MWG gave technical presentations in the city council meetings and discussed possible approaches with the decision-makers.
MWG applied for funding and took on the planning and the tender for renewing and extending the parking guidance system. Coesfeld and Borken use a shared control centre, and the coordination between the two towns lay with MWG. The system covers more than 50 sign locations and eight parking facilities. For five of them, a detection method for counting vehicles was determined and tendered.
Because a new car park was built at the Ditzingen site, MWG planned and tendered a new parking guidance system for the employees. A suitable detection method was tendered and selected together with the client. The visitor car park was integrated into the system.
MWG developed recommendations for coordinating the traffic searching for parking in the winter months. They aim at a more even traffic flow and better availability of parking spaces, and they also cover how parking occupancy is communicated.
MWG advises the city on an ongoing basis and organised the workshops on the neighbourhood car park in Malerviertel III.
Because of the new P+R station, MWG prepared a parking concept for the centre that also takes account of alternative parking during the construction period. All parking areas were analysed, and proposals for introducing parking management were added.
MWG set out the framework for the tender and identified funding options. MWG carried out the tender and supported the delivery of the construction work. This took place in cooperation with the transport company.
MWG received the planning contract for renewing the existing parking guidance system. A funding grant was approved for the project.
MWG prepared the funding for the electric mobility infrastructure and submitted the funding application. Hanau subsequently received substantial funding.
MWG prepared a parking concept for visitors to the two bathing lakes. The management concept covers the optimisation of parking spaces, the traffic connections, signposting and signage, and a study of the measures needed to make parking management feasible. The investment costs were estimated.
MWG developed an overall concept for the centre and the P+R station that takes in the tariff structure and on-street parking. In addition, a tender was carried out for a car park in which single-space detection played a decisive role.
The existing parking guidance system was renewed and extended, with the planning and the tender handled by MWG. Fourteen dynamic and 22 static parking signs were installed, and eight parking facilities were modernised. The cable-based parking guidance system was replaced by an internet-based one, and modern parking access systems were added.
MWG prepared the specification for the parking management. For the photovoltaic park it provided technical advice in the area of parking management.
For the renewal of the parking guidance system, MWG applied for funding and carried out the entire tender process. The project covers about 7,000 parking spaces on 12 parking areas in the centre and at the station, plus 1,800 spaces at the Sportpark. Occupancy is communicated by 59 dynamic displays at 26 locations and by text displays for traffic routing at 16 locations, and three information boards show whether spaces are free or occupied.
MWG prepared a parking concept covering the city centre, the Audi plant site, the hospital, the commercial area and the Sportpark. It takes account of what is technically possible today and serves as preparation for planning a future parking guidance system.
The tender for the parking guidance system was organised in a structured procurement procedure under our lead. This included identifying suitable funding programmes and steering all administrative steps through to the order. The construction work that followed was supported continuously; the parking guidance system was completed in 2026.
MWG took on the consulting for the planning and design of three mobility hubs. This included preparing a parking concept, calculating the viability of different equipment options and advising on the split and the sizing of private and public parking spaces.
MWG carried out a comprehensive survey of the parking facilities and advised the city with regard to the parking guidance system.
MWG is carrying out a public tender for a dynamic parking guidance and information system for the city of Landau and is applying for the funding. Camera-based counting technology is used to record parking occupancy. Completion is scheduled for 2026.
MWG carried out the tender for the operation of the parking facilities at three sites. It held the bidder meetings and supported the entire procurement process.
For the city of Limburg, MWG carried out the tender for the cash-in-transit services and selected a contractor that meets the requirements of the city. It also organised a workshop on parking and provided advice.
At the Munich site, an app-based parking guidance system is being introduced for employees that links ten parking facilities. MWG tendered a suitable detection method for all car parks and multi-storey car parks, with which the availability of the parking spaces is recorded.
Acted as expert for the Munich Regional Court on a mechanical car park; the proceedings ended in a settlement.
MWG advises on the installation of the electric mobility infrastructure in the largest mechanical car park in Europe and supports the application for funding. The facility is not yet complete.
MWG advises Messe München on the tender for the operation of the parking management. This includes analysing the existing operating processes, developing an operating concept and providing technical support for the procurement procedure through to the decision.
In Munich, MWG is responsible for the removal of more than 600 old pay-and-display machines and the installation of the new units across the whole city. Full delivery of the project is its responsibility.
MWG contributed to the mobility concept for the new Medikum. It determined the number of parking spaces required and planned and designed a modern parking guidance system.
MWG took on the car park management for the facilities around the bathing lakes and rearranged the parking spaces. The focus was on using near-natural materials. Road safety and access for emergency routes have improved as a result.
To improve the management of the traffic searching for parking in the centre and of the traffic at the Staffelsee and the Murnauer Moos, data capture with dynamic displays at the entrances was planned and built. Integration into Ausflugsticker 2.0 or Bayern-Info was part of the tender.
MWG supported the tender for renewing the technology in several multi-storey car parks, among them the Marktgarage. Number plate recognition is used as the access medium. MWG led the entire procurement process and is supporting the project through to completion.
With substantial support from MWG, the Neubrandenburg housing association carried out a tender for a new parking access and management system. The tender covered ticketless operation with number plate recognition and the setting up of a new control centre.
For the NEUWOGES parking facilities, MWG tendered a parking access and management system covering ticketless operation with number plate recognition and a new control centre. The system supports cashless payment and is prepared for digital services.
For the renewal and extension of the parking guidance system, MWG applied for funding, carried out the planning and ran the tender. A parking guidance system with parking signs at 30 locations for a total of eight parking facilities was tendered and awarded. MWG supported the installation through to acceptance and coordinated the work between the contractor and the city.
A guidance system for the mountain railways and for the municipality was planned, and MWG prepared the specification for it. A provider was then consulted to examine how an interim solution could be implemented at short notice.
MWG contributed to the preparation of a new parking management. It carried out a demand analysis and developed a parking concept for staff, students and other user groups that takes all commercial aspects into account.
As part of ongoing consulting, MWG held several workshops for the neighbourhood car park project. In close coordination, suitable funding for the neighbourhood car parks was identified, and the corresponding applications are being submitted.
A parking management system was installed for 20 parking facilities, reducing the traffic searching for parking in all parts of the municipality and improving the use of the parking areas. Static signage marks all managed parking areas, and occupancy is recorded by the pay-and-display machines. An interface to Ausflugsticker 2.0 or Bayern-Info was part of the tender.
For the Osterreinen and Dietringen bathing beaches, MWG planned a parking concept and implemented a parking guidance system that manages visitor traffic during the summer season. Parking management with parking charges was introduced on all designated parking areas. Pay stations with number plate recognition and various payment options including pay-by-phone parking were installed. The parking facilities are accessible and can be used without barriers.
MWG supported the city with the refurbishment of the Rathausgarage. This included planning and carrying out the renovation work, improving the parking layout, modernising the technology and maintaining the car park.
MWG planned and tendered a new parking access system for a car park in the centre of Traunstein. Data is captured by number plate detection, and new pay stations were added.
Parking facilities were planned and built around the commercial area. MWG developed, tendered and awarded a parking guidance system with four parking facilities and five dynamic sign locations. For three of the newly created parking facilities, a suitable detection method for counting vehicles was determined.

MWG carried out plausibility reviews for the car park in Klarenthaler Straße and for the fire safety concept of the Bodelschwingschule. The reviews examined whether the required standards and safety regulations are met.
MWG supports all refurbishment projects for the municipal multi-storey car parks, organises workshops and contributes expertise on electric mobility infrastructure. It is involved in the introduction of a new parking concept and has carried out the entire tender process. The project is still running.
