MWG contributed to the mobility concept for parking. A viability calculation was prepared for the neighbourhood car parks and the construction costs were determined. The city of Augsburg received advice on parking.

A parking access system without barriers was developed and implemented. For this, MWG carried out a tender for a camera-based access system that records vehicle number plates and manages the parking areas without physical barriers.

For visitors to the Blombergbahn, MWG planned and tendered a new parking management system. Accessible detection with number plate recognition is planned. The project is still in progress and not yet complete.

MWG supported the municipal utility in coordinating between the hotel operator, the utility and the congress centre. Proposed solutions were developed in several workshops in order to improve traffic flow during events.

Pay-by-Phone Parking for the City of Bamberg

Together with the city, MWG carried out a tender for the introduction of pay-by-phone parking across the whole city, in order to find a suitable provider. Parking charges are to be payable by mobile phone.

GPM Bad Bentheim, Extension of the Parking Management System

Eight parking facilities were equipped with modern pay-and-display machines, and MWG provided support. The machines issue digital parking tickets only, created by entering the vehicle number plate. Payment is cashless throughout.

Municipality of Bernau am Chiemsee, Parking Guidance System

MWG took on the planning and the tender for the extension of the parking guidance system. The system directs tourist traffic during the summer months and provides information on the available parking. A digital interface to navigation devices, apps and other media was also developed. The pay-and-display machines were tendered and awarded as well.

MWG developed and tendered a parking guidance system for managing tourist traffic. The tender covered all parking facilities and focused on accessible, camera-based parking access control. MWG supported the grant applications, and the project received substantial financial funding.

MWG applied for funding and took on the planning and the tender for renewing and extending the parking guidance system. Borken and Coesfeld use a shared control centre, and the coordination between the two towns lay with MWG. The system covers more than 50 sign locations and eight parking facilities. For five of them, a detection method for counting vehicles was determined and tendered.

Because of the new P+R station, MWG prepared a parking concept for the centre that also takes account of alternative parking during the construction period. All parking areas were analysed, and proposals for introducing parking management were added.

MWG prepared a parking concept for visitors to the two bathing lakes. The management concept covers the optimisation of parking spaces, the traffic connections, signposting and signage, and a study of the measures needed to make parking management feasible. The investment costs were estimated.

MWG developed an overall concept for the centre and the P+R station that takes in the tariff structure and on-street parking. In addition, a tender was carried out for a car park in which single-space detection played a decisive role.

The existing parking guidance system was renewed and extended, with the planning and the tender handled by MWG. Fourteen dynamic and 22 static parking signs were installed, and eight parking facilities were modernised. The cable-based parking guidance system was replaced by an internet-based one, and modern parking access systems were added.

The project covers about 7,000 parking spaces on 12 parking areas in the centre and at the station, plus 1,800 spaces at the Sportpark. Occupancy is communicated by 59 dynamic displays at 26 locations and by text displays for traffic routing at 16 locations, and three information boards show whether spaces are free or occupied.

At the Munich site, an app-based parking guidance system is being introduced for employees that links ten parking facilities. MWG tendered a suitable detection method for all car parks and multi-storey car parks, with which the availability of the parking spaces is recorded.

A parking management system was installed for 20 parking facilities, reducing the traffic searching for parking in all parts of the municipality and improving the use of the parking areas. Static signage marks all managed parking areas, and occupancy is recorded by the pay-and-display machines. An interface to Ausflugsticker 2.0 or Bayern-Info was part of the tender.

For the Osterreinen and Dietringen bathing beaches, MWG planned a parking concept and implemented a parking guidance system that manages visitor traffic during the summer season. Parking management with parking charges was introduced on all designated parking areas. Pay stations with number plate recognition and various payment options including pay-by-phone parking were installed. The parking facilities are accessible and can be used without barriers.
